Course Description

Lawyers and financial advisors are in the Top 11 professionals with the highest suicide rates. They also have unusually high rates of depression, anxiety, and substance use. High-stress levels, inadequate work-life balance, and high pressure to perform, all impact people’s ability to find their own sense of well-being, regulate sleep, emotions, and relationships. What steps can professional advisory firms take to identify and redress potential problems to help those involved and the firms thrive?

This program will discuss critical issues affecting many professional practice firms and endeavor to provide action steps to address them.

Learning Objectives:

  • List the pros and cons of how personality traits influence the choice of profession, stress management, and mental health outcomes

  • Recognize why mental health issues are important to your practice

  • Identify and overcome barriers to getting help

  • Propose actionable items that can be implemented immediately to help you and your colleagues
